A muse is the source of inspiration for a creative artist, whether it is a singer, sculptor or painter, the muse is the reason their art comes to life and represents the passion put while creating their unique display of love, happiness, anger and all other emotions they go through each day. Every year thousands of young men and women graduate high school, yet many of them don’t go on to college due to financial hardships. Each year we give away two scholarships to deserving seniors attending Harding, Central, Bassick and most recently added Fairchild Wheeler.
On Wednesday May 27, 2015, the Power of 5 presents Painting for Scholarships located at Metric Bar and Grill 39 Cannon Street, Bridgeport, CT from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. The women of Power of 5 would like the muses of that evening to be the young men and women aspiring to be doctors, lawyers, CEOs, and much more. This special event will help raise funds towards a book scholarship for one high school graduate to use toward their tuition and/or textbooks. A fun night of painting for an amazing cause is a great way to network and meet new people while getting to know your creative side.
The Power of 5 is a group of women, dedicated to helping high school seniors achieve success and having the opportunity to go on to college with financial assistance to help ease the stress that comes along with the college experience. Our vision is not only to promote elegance and sophistication with our events, but to create a “village effect” by giving back to our community.
